We as a team at Noosa General Practice are very pleased that we were as part of the IF pilot program (commissioned program on Practice Coaching) as it has steered us in the right direction for future Quality Improvements in general practice. We have more confidence with future programs and involving all staff which promotes teamwork, accomplishments and a greater understanding of why QI is an essential part of good practice.

The Improvement Foundation’s quality improvement methods have a proven track record in enhancing patient management systems in GP clinics. We are working closely with Improvement Foundation to ensure the training provided assists general practices in providing high quality care using the latest evidence, and has a strong emphasis on patient focused care.

The Improvement Foundation (IF) has provided the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care with consistently reliable support and advice since 2015, as part of its Patient Blood Management  Collaborative and the AURA Surveillance System. 

 

IF has worked collaboratively with the Commission to establish programs which will contribute to improved patient safety and quality by reliably delivering its services to a high standard, within the agreed time and budget parameters. 

 

With regard to the planning and development of the National Alert System for Critical Antimicrobial Resistances CARAlert, IF worked with the Commission to establish a bespoke IT system which aligned to its need to capture data about critical antimicrobial resistances in Australia and enable access to this information, in a timely way, to enable health systems to respond.  IF maintained strong communication throughout the system’s development and the implementation phases, and continues to support system enhancements, over time.  The professionalism shown in undertaking response to system user requests and problem solving is very strong.
